Numerous celestial charts and diagrams are provided to lend vivid support to his conclusions. With the psalmist, one discovers that "the heavens declare the glory of God and the firmament showeth His handiwork," thus encouraging Bible students to look upward for the coming of Christ.

About the Author
E. W. Bullinger (1837-1913) was a direct descendant of Johann H. Bullinger, the Swiss reformer. Bullinger was a lifelong scholar and writer studying at King's College, London. In 1862, he was ordained in the Church of England. He is also the author of the notes and appendixes of The Companion Bible and the author of numerous works including Commentary on Revelation, Great Cloud of Witnesses, How to Enjoy the Bible, and Number in Scripture.

The Witness of the Stars

I would give the new publisher, Cosimo, one star. It does not have the fold-out of the 48 constellations in the back as does the book published by Kregel, and it has "Astrology" written on the front cover. This is a book on Biblical Astronomy per the author. Bullinger would be turning in his grave if he knew his book was being classified as Astrology. I teach Biblical Astronomy and purchase this book (from Kregel) for my students. I will no longer purchase this book from Amazon.com if this is the only version of it they have.

The following applies to the version published by Kregel Publications: This is one of the best works available on Biblical Astronomy. I have been a student of Biblical Astronomy for over 25 years. This is the book that first got me interested in the field. It is very concise in its Biblical interpretations of the constellations and star names. The book is also very informative as to where the constellation pictures came from. The Witness of the Stars is a masterpiece that brings ancient light to a new generation. I am now a full time Biblical Astronomer and have myself written a book on the subject which concerns recent celestial events. I would not have had a clue of where to begin if it were not for this work by E.W. Bullinger.

The Witness of the Stars

I bought this book from Amazon and it is published by Kregel and does have the fold out in back displaying all of the constellations. An amazing book and necessary for all those interested in coming to a fuller knowledge of the Truth. We shall never learn all in our lifetime, but what a joy to be able to learn all that we can of our Savior and the witness of the plan of redemption which has been in the skies since the creation.

An excellent book!

This is one of the best books on the subject. It is is very didactic. This is a Quantum Chemistry book. I have seen Physicists coming here to depreciate this book, because they think this is a book for them. This is not. Physicists, go Cohen, Griffths, and other Quantum Mechanics books. This one is for Chemists who want to deal theoretically with atoms and molecules, and to prepare Chemists for the next step, which is programming, for what they can be prepared posteriorly through Szabo and Ostlund, Modern Quantum Chemistry excellent book. This Levine book is brilliant.

The 7th (and sadly the last) Edition

It was with great sadness that I learned of the passing of Professor Ira N. Levine last month (December 2015). I was among the first students in his debut class in quantum chemistry back in the late 1960's. We used the zeroth edition of this book as it was being written, delivered to the students - in mimeograph form - one chapter at a time by Prof. Levine. As a hobby, I've purchased and read subsequent editions over the years even though my professional career took me into engineering rather than theoretical chemistry.

The book has remained at the pinnacle of QC texts for advanced undergraduate, graduate, and self-study use. This 7th edition is no exception. Here's why: (1) it covers the necessary background mathematics in an integrated, as-needed manner, (2) all topics are treated with an appropriate "goldilocks" degree of rigor, neither overly formalized nor overly simplified, (3) the text is supplemented by excellent - sometimes quite challenging - problem sets, (4) numerous footnotes to the literature are given throughout the book for students who want to chase down subtle points, and (5) modern topics in QC, such as computational electron-correlation and molecular dynamics methods, are fully discussed. Overall, the text is written with great clarity and precision.

This is not a textbook of quantum physics generally, but of quantum chemistry specifically. There are the obligatory explanations about the counter-intuitive nature of quantum mechanics along with various historical digressions about the development of non-classical physics. But this is a chemistry book. And it's among the best.

Amazing Introduction to the Uke!

What a great way to get started on the ukulele. I love that the language is simple (most of us don't understand music theory) and that the bulk of your time is spent with the videos that are imbedded within the chapters. This makes it so easy to understand the concepts and provides a great visual tutor. What a great, simple way to go from zero to playing!

Great book on learning how to play the ukulele. This book teaches everything you need to know to get started on the ukulele and the videos are an awesome added bonus. The videos make me feel like I am taking a personal class with Andrew. This is my second book I got from Andrew Mccormick and I am looking forward to more.

This is the second ukulele instructional book that we have purchased by Andrew McCormick. My son has been playing ukulele for a little over a year. We have tried several ukulele books for beginners, etc. These are BY FAR the best out there. Easy, fun, and songs you actually want to play!
